What is a tension set ring?
Tension set jewelry, more accurately described as compression setting, uses specially created alloys to hold a gemstone securely simply by applying enough pressure from the sides literally squeezing the diamond hard enough to hold it securely, but perfectly enough to do it safely. There are no prongs, bezels, or other diamond setting involved. Tension set rings offer a striking example of combining latest in scientific metallurgy and design fashion.
