Jorge Revilla

Jorge Revilla’s love affair with design and creativity began with his study of Stylism, Fashion and Design in his native city of Burgos in Spain, and went on to flourish in London.

His passion for travel and other cultures took him to many different countries and brought about an enthusiasm for natural stone. In 1993, at the age of just 23, he decided to select the most special and representative stones from each of his destinations and sell them in Spain. In 1996, he founded his namesake company with his designer sister Gloria.

The combination of stones and silver is one of the core themes in his work. For Jorge Revilla, silver is a warmer, more ductile material than any other through which to express his shapes and ideas. His sophisticated pieces of jewellery are designed to dazzle and surprise, whilst never forgetting the modern working woman for whom they are created, who seeks something comfortable and practical, as well as beautiful. Necklaces are perhaps the pieces which best reflect this urban expression of creativity.

From their offices in Burgos, Gloria and Jorge Revilla directly supervise the finish of every item themselves, aware that each must carry the designers’ personal hallmark. From this same Spanish city, they also direct the label’s global expansion which has taken it to tradeshows like Baselworld (Switzerland), Inhorgenta (Germany), Vicenza Oro Winter (Italy), JA (New York), JCK (Las Vegas), International Jewellery Tokyo, Expojoya Guadalajara (Mexico) and Iberjoya (Madrid). Their work is currently on sale in Spain, Germany, France and the USA.
